One of the most vital components of the optimal functioning of the Na No Mon initiative is community engagement. In order to ensure that the platform reaches and impacts the population, targeted efforts must be made to facilitate and promote participation and connection of hard to reach or isolated communities. RENAJ, being the largest youth network in the nation and having representation and influence in all 9 regions has been tasked with; (i) building awareness of the existence of the platform and (ii) providing training and support to the communities on how to access and use the platform. To overcome the hurdles posed by the lack of internet in the regions and low levels of computer literacy, the community outreach team will work with the Ianda Guiné Resource Centers, that come fully equipped with computers and internet, to provide local support and access to the platform.

The training included a presentation on the importance and utility of the platform as well as practical guidance on how to use the various modules within the platform. Also highlighted was the importance of motivating users to fully engage in the platform by creating and using the interactive feature of community rooms. The trainees will return to the regions where they will be providing training to other RENAJ members at their respective regional hubs.  Together these teams will provide constant, local support to regional communities on platform use and adherence.
