It provides an online infrastructure to better plan and develop a response to communities’ needs and priorities in a more coordinated way. The platform aims to connect communities with all territorial and development actors that are supporting local development in the territories in order to identify solutions, replicate innovation and ensure the interventions benefit the most vulnerable groups.
The platform is offered as a space to document and promote examples of inspiring, replicable solutions across a range of sustainable development topics in response to COVID-19 and for a longer-term development.
The platform allows communities and development partners to share and reflect on their experiences, facilitate the identification of successful work, and to learn with their peers how similar challenges have been addressed.
Different thematic disciplines and communities contribute to Na No Mon. As the site evolves, we welcome additional themes and new partners.

Community networks are presented through a map in order to have access to all the systems already in place to support interventions. Case studies are documented as solutions using a standard format that identifies key building blocks and the context in which the solutions were implemented. Solutions are shared on the online platform.
Solutions are specific, applied examples of successful processes or approaches. They can be entire projects or only aspects of a project, and typically encompass several steps or phases of activities. Solutions, while context-specific, are not seen as fixed proof-points, but as toolboxes that can be leveraged and inspire learning across regions and themes.
Na No Mon also offers a space for dialogue and exchange. Ultimately, the platform aims to strengthen the voices of the most vulnerable and marginalized members of local communities, thus enhancing their ability to provide inputs into local and national development processes. Its real value will be seen in the connections it will be able to make between communities and decision-makers, development practitioners and the private sector, and in the quality of responses to communities’ needs and the actions aimed at elevating the lives of the people of Guinea-Bissau.
