Jose has developed a machine to press the chabéu fruit. The machine was developed as a direct response to the needs of the community, that has large quantities of chabéu, it is one of the most consumed locally consumed dishes. Furthermore, with the work of extracting the oil being left to the women, this is a way to safeguard their safety as the extraction of the oil without the press is dangerous and causes physical harm, with the machine, reducing the number of casualties in Bubaque, Gabu and Bissau.
